Clean the area of skin thoroughly and remove oil and make-up. The skin must be clean, dry and uninjured. Shave if necessary so the edges blend seamlessly later. Carry out a compatibility test with your skin adhesive before first use.
Hold the prosthetic against the desired spot and check the fit before gluing. This helps you find the best position and orientation – especially with versatile pieces, a quick test is worth it.
Apply a suitable skin adhesive (e.g. Pros-Aide) according to the manufacturer’s instructions and press the prosthetic on gently. Work from the centre outwards to avoid air bubbles. The adhesive is not included.
Dissolve the thin edges with acetone so they merge invisibly into your skin. This step decides how realistic the effect looks – take your time with it.
Now it is your turn: the prosthetic comes unpainted. Design colour, redness, blood and aging to match your look. With silicone-compatible paints, work in layers from light to dark.
Loosen the prosthetic carefully from the skin with a suitable remover, do not pull it off. Then clean and care for your skin. Encapsulated silicone prosthetics are intended for single use.
